Harlequin Solutions scoops The Howard League training contract
The Howard League Charity has chosen Harlequin Solutions to deliver its training and learning services to offenders, as they prepare to join the community with a new technical skill set.
As the leaders in delivery of software and IT training to the creative, design and media industries, Harlequin Solutions was chosen to deliver tailored courses on Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Mac OSX suites.
Working with staff at The Howard League, Harlequin Solutions developed an onsite training programme specifically aimed to meet the needs and objectives of the delegates. A key part of their reform agenda, the training programme ensured that all delegates have the skills, knowledge and expertise to enable them to design and produce artwork in a Mac studio environment, which they hope may one day lead to commercial success.
The contract also enables The Howard League to call on Harlequin Solutions for support over the next 6 months as prisoners get to grips with their new skills.
The Howard League for Penal reform is an independent charity working for humane and effective reform of the criminal justice and penal system. Formed in 1866 it is the oldest penal reform charity in the UK and works for a safe society where fewer people are victims of crime.
The Howard League believes that offenders must make amends for what they have done and change their lives. As part of this mission it seeks to offer training and education available to offenders as part of the process involved in living a law-abiding life in the community.
With over 15 years experience in the delivery of training courses of this nature and working with enterprises of this type, Harlequin Solutions was the natural choice for the studio experts heading up the programme.
