Punch applications used:

Harlequin Solutions implemented 5 copies of Punch in total. Of these, 4 copies were used to manage all the local intranet solutions, for all the remote PCT's. Each PCT has full potential to administer and publish independently of each other. The Extranet was built with an independent copy of Punch, with the Punch Intranet/Extranet connector each remote copy has been designed to 'push' pages to the extranet site for community wide access. 

The Intranet/Extranet connector ensures any pages published across multiple sites only require single page maintenance. This ensures that there is no conflict between versions of documents published. This concept was crucial for NHS as many procudure documents are reviewed on a regular basis thus ensuring all copies are updated at the same time saving a huge resource in man management.

With the Punch email integrator, Punch administration team are able to communicate to specific project groups responsible for content authoring or approval.

Time Scales & Budget

Harlequin Solutions have successfully met with the initial deadlines taking a little over 8 weeks for completion. NHS are currently undertaking training and an internal workshop promotion phase. All work was completed to a fixed priced budget.
